What to expect in a session ?

The session is led by you, meaning your spiritual director trusts your leading and direction within a session. Our ordinary lives are rich in opportunities to explore the presence of God and we trust that the Spirit is always guiding, so whatever you decide to explore is always welcome. As you share, your director is listening carefully for moments that feel potent and will invite you into deeper exploration through gentle questions and reflection. Sessions are approximately one hour in length, and may involve prayer, silence, talking, laughing, movement, and sometimes tears. Everything belongs!

Who is spiritual direction for ?

Anyone can benefit from having companionship on their spiritual journey. Some seasons in particular are harder to navigate on your own, and can be especially helpful to have a spiritual director alongside. Life stage transitions, unexpected changes to life circumstances, seasons of faith rebuilding, or times of discerning the next steps can be challenging, and having a safe, judgement-free space to explore questions and reactions can be helpful. A spiritual director is there to bear witness to the ongoing work of God in your life and to provide support and companionship along the way.

How to get started ?

Within our collective, you are invited to meet with one or more of the directors for a complimentary introduction. Determining a good fit is important, and it is helpful to consider location needs, schedules, as well as a sense of connection between yourself and the director. Spiritual direction is typically offered monthly with one hour sessions. Session fees can be discussed with individual directors, but tend to range between $50-$90. Individuals are welcome to take a break from sessions, change directors, or stop at any time. Though we work as a collective, all sessions are completely confidential with your director.
